We would like to thank each and every one of our amazing customers for your ongoing support, loyalty and patience throughout these strange times.
We have been working hard behind the scenes to ensure we create the safest environment for you to come back to. There have been a few inevitable changes to our booking and treatment procedures including how you arrive and pay for your appointment.
What can you expect?
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
All staff have been provided with medical grade masks and salon/spa specialist personal protective equipment such as gloves, aprons and facial visors to wear whilst they are at work. All PPE will be changed in between customers and treatments. We have bespoke protective screens on our Manicure desks and our reception desks, and we have hand sanitiser provided throughout the hotel. Customers will be asked to wash their hands before entering the Treatment Rooms and their therapist will do the same once they have entered the treatment room. We will also have disposable face masks for our customers to wear if their treatment requires. There is a small price increase to accommodate the personal protective equipment to keep our customers and our staff members as safe as possible.
Temperature Checks
Both staff and customers will have a non-contact temperature check as they arrive to the hotel. This is to ensure we are taking every precaution that our customers and staff members are safe.
Treatments
To begin with, we will have a reduced treatment menu available. This is for the safety of our staff and guests. You will still be able to enjoy many of our lovely treatments but there are just a few that are off limits for now. We will not be able to do any facial treatments apart from those where a mask can be worn by the customer e.g. eyebrow wax.
Arriving for your Treatment
Please only arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment. This is to limit how many people we have in the hotel at any one time. If you do arrive earlier then you are more than welcome to relax in our walled garden or grounds. You will need to enter the hotel through the main front door. If there is not a staff member on the main hotel reception desk, then please wait to be greeted. You will then be asked to take a seat in an allocated area and a staff member will let you know when your therapist is ready for you. Please try not to go down to the Treatment Rooms until you have been instructed. There will be a sperate door to exit the building to avoid people crossing paths.
Consultation Forms and Health Questionnaire
For the time being, we are going to try and go paperless to reduce the amount of cross contamination. You will now be sent a pdf consultation form to complete either online or you can print it and bring it with you for your appointment. There will also be a health questionnaire to complete. These will need to be done before your appointment and will only take a few minutes. If you have any problems, then we can provide paper forms when you come for your treatment, but we do ask that you bring your own pen if possible.
Towels and Laundering
We will be using disposable couch roll on our treatment beds for every treatment to protect our towels. Towels will be changed in between every treatment and they are sent away to be professionally washed. For details of who washes our towels and what they do, please click here.
Cleaning
Although we have always been strict on cleanliness and hygiene, we have put new measures in place. The Treatment Rooms have been deep cleaned before closing back in March and then deep cleaned again before reopening in July. Therapists have allocated time at the beginning and end of the day to deep clean the rooms and time in between each treatment to sanitise and clean their treatment room to create the safest environment.
Payment and Rebooking
To minimise the amount of people in our small reception area at one time we have tried to stagger treatments where possible. We will only be able to take card payments to begin with and we do ask for you to have your rebooking dates ready.
Water and Refreshments
We will provide water using disposable paper cups but feel free to bring your own water bottles to have after your treatment. We have also had to stop our complimentary ginger tea and fresh fruit skewer for now, but it will be back!
Please check our website and keep up to date with our social media posts for more information on what to expect and please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Thank you again and we cannot wait to welcome you back through our doors once again. If you have any questions in the meantime or if you would like to make a booking then please contact us on 01603 737 531 or via relax@norfolkmead.co.uk.
