The Norfolk Mead Treatment Rooms bring you ... Face Mask Fri-Yay!

We hope you enjoyed our home skincare tips blog article! Next in our lockdown series, we have the perfect recipe for you to make your own nourishing and brightening face mask from your kitchen cupboards! It’s great fun for all the family and the perfect skin-hydrating treat!

You will need:

- Half an avocado

- 1 tablespoon of honey

- Half a cup of rolled oats

- A slice of cucumber for each eye

    Method:

    - Mash your avocado

    - Add honey and oats and mix

    - Apply to clean skin

    - Leave on and relax for 10 minutes with the cucumber slices over your eyes and then massage into the skin to mildly exfoliate

    - Remove with a warm face cloth/flannel

    Benefits:

Avocado – High in Magnesium to tighten skin. Enriches and nourishes dry or chapped skin. High in vitamins, antioxidants and amino acids which are great for hydration, firming and toning and giving the skin a beautiful glow.

Honey – Super hydrating. Contains many vitamins and minerals that are essential for the skin to retain its moisture. Also, extremely soothing and healing.

Rolled Oats – Mild cleansing benefits. Can help to heal dry/chapped/eczema-prone skin by their ability to restore the skin’s natural barrier, reducing itching and regulating inflammation. Excellent exfoliant for sensitive skin types. Contains lots of lipids and protein which are really hydrating to the skin.

Cucumber – this is the perfect cooling and de-puffing treatment for the eyes. Soothes and hydrates tired eyes with a relaxing feel.
