At The Norfolk Mead, dining is about choice. Whether you’re joining us for a leisurely lunch, a relaxed evening meal, drinks with friends, or a special celebration, you’ll find a range of dining experiences to suit every occasion.

For those wanting something lighter, our Conservatory Restaurant within the Spa provides a bright and welcoming setting. Here you can enjoy everything from brunch, light lunches and sharing plates to our popular tapas menu, perfect for gathering with friends and family.

Guests can also indulge in our traditional Afternoon Tea, enjoy a hearty brunch, or settle in for a memorable evening meal in our restaurant. Those looking to celebrate a special occasion can explore our private dining options, offering a more intimate setting for birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings and business events.

Whether you’re visiting for a quick lunch, a romantic dinner, drinks on the terrace, or a private celebration, The Norfolk Mead offers a dining experience to match the moment.

Explore Norfolk

Set on the banks of the River Bure in the heart of the unspoilt Norfolk Broads National Park, The Norfolk Mead is surrounded by some of the county’s most beautiful scenery. Norfolk is a wonderful place to explore, with its rivers, coastline, countryside and characterful villages offering endless opportunities to get out, discover something new and simply enjoy being away.

Anna & James Holiday

Owners Anna and James both come from strong catering and hospitality backgrounds and first met while working on the Formula One circuit with McLaren, where they travelled the world catering for drivers, mechanics and support teams at the highest level.

Their combined experience across restaurants, hotels and large-scale international events laid the foundations for what would become The Norfolk Mead.

When Anna and James discovered The Norfolk Mead, they saw not just a hotel, but the potential to create a welcoming destination built around food, service and memorable experiences. Carefully restored and thoughtfully developed, The Norfolk Mead reflects their belief in relaxed luxury.

Pet Friendly

We welcome pets at The Norfolk Mead but unfortunately they can only stay in some of our rooms: Juniper, Crab Apple and Sweet Chestnut.

Please be aware before you book that dogs and pets are not allowed in the main hotel, venue or spa.

Pets are charged at £20 per night and we do operate a well-behaved pet policy (any damages caused by pets must be paid before you check-out).
